Home Made Tutti Frutti



Tutti Frutti

Recipe Cuisine: Indian | Recipe Category: Kids snack
Preparation Time:2 days | Serves: 400 gm

Ingredients


Raw Papaya-1(500gm)

Sugar - 2 Cups

Water- 2 Cups

Vanila Essence- 1 tsp

Food Colors- Red,Green,Yellow

Method:

  1. This step is not mandatory-If you are using fresh Papaya from the plant then u need to make a slit on the skin of papaya to remove the raw milk from papaya.Just allow it to sit on the plate for 1 hour so all the milk will come out.
  2. If buying store then you may not need to do the above step.
  3. Peel the skin , inner seeds and inner soft flesh.Wash it well and cut into tiny cubes.
  4. Now blanch the papaya cubes in hot water for 5 mins -this step further remove the papaya smell and milk from the cubes.
  5. Mean while lets prepare the sugar syrup by adding sugar and water.
  6. Now strain the papaya cubes from the blanced water and keep it ready.
  7. Once the sugar dissolved completey add in the papaya cubes and let it allow it to cook for 15 - 20 mins.
  8. These are the things you need check whether its ready or not ?-The sugar syrup should reach single string or almost to single string consistency,papaya should be transulent and the papaya cubes should become soft.
  9. Once its done switch off the flame and add the vanila essence(this helps to completely remove the papaya smell and enhance the flavour).
  10. Now take 3 container with 3 different food color in it and divide the papaya equally along with suagr syrup into food color containers and mix well.
  11. Allow it to sit over night for minimun of 12 to 15 hours(depends on papaya cubes).
  12. Now Drain the cubes and dry it in a plate lined with some tissue paper| News paper for 2- 3 days .
  13. Once the stickiness is absorbed you can use the tutti frutti. But to use it for long period dry till the moisture goes..
  14. Once it ready press the cubes with your finger and der should be any liquid oozing out.
  15. Store it in a airtight container and refrigerate for longer use.
  16. Use it in cake,bread,cookies,icecreams,smoothies.
  17. I have a beetle leaf plant at home.So i wanna make a use of those bettle leaf for my kid.So gonna use it like in the pic below .

Notes:

  • The papaya ,sugar and water can be use in same ratio .Like 1 Cup papaya , 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water.
  • Can use lightly oranged raw papaya.

Banana Icecream | Banana Peanut Butter Icecream | One Ingredient Icecream

         When i tried this first time in my home i got a good comment from my hubby.As i said earlier i have banana's thru out the week and this is also one of the trial method. I usually like most of the cooking pages in fb and i got a post of instant banana ice cream made oly with 2 ingredients banana's and nutella oly.Perfect for diet watcher's....

    


Instant Banana Icecream

Recipe Cuisine: Indian  |  Recipe Category: Ice cream
Preparation Time:3 hours |  Serves: 3

Ingredients


Ripen banana-4(fully rippen with brown spots in it)

Peanut Butter-1 tbsp(op)

Ice cream Cone/Cup-3

Chopped nuts(op)

Method:

  1. Cut the banana's into small chunks and freeze it for about 3 to 4 hours(or over night)
  2. In a blender add the frozen banana's, peanut butter and blend it till banana's are smooth,creamy and light frozen.
  3. Initially it will be difficult to blend the frozen banana's,but use the pulse button(u can off and on by scrapping the side in between).Be careful not to overprocess as the icecream begin to melt.
  4. Enjoy the dessert rightnaway for best result with chopped nuts or dry fruits of your choice.
  5. You can also freeze the remaining for a day or two.

Notes:

    • You can add jam/hazelnut butter also .
    • I used long yellow banana's
