Curd-1/4 cup(3-4 tbsp)
Sugar-1 tbsp
Rava/semolina-1 tbsp
baking soda a pinch
salt as per taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
- In a bowl mix rava, baking soda, sugar, curd, salt mix well to make a paste.
- Add the paste to the flour and mix well with enough water to make a stiff dough(some wat hard than chapathi dough).
- Always knead the dough for 3-4 mins to get a good dough.
- Now apply some oil over the dough and cover it with a cloth and let it marinate for 2 hr.
- After 2 hrs knead once again and make equal size ball and roll it to poori's(make sure its not thin as chapathi).
- Now deep fry it in a hot oil.
Notes:
- The oil should be nicely hot so it will not absorb much oil.
- Once u dropd the pooris in oil press down gently to oil with laddle and while the pooris puffs it will lift the laddle to wards up and turn the pooris and do the same gently.
- You can use maida or wheat ,the result is same in both.
- For 2 cups-it come around 8-9 bhatura's.
- i usually prepare the dough first and start do the chole , so u can save some time..
