This tomato kuruma is very easy and yum with dosa. When ever i prepare this my hubby find out as soon as he enter home.Even if i prepare variety's of chutney ,he will be asking you havn't prepare that yellow kuruma va ?.Ya he keep calling this as"yellow kuruma".Here is the recipe ,do try and let me know your comments..:)

Ingredients
Big Onion-2
Tomato-1 1/2
Sambar powder-1tsp(or more as per taste)
Turmeric
Salt as per taste
Cocunut-1/4 cup
Green chilli-1
Fennel-1/2 tsp
Roasted Gram dal-1 tsp(pottukadalai)
Cinnamon-1"
Cloves-3
Oil for deep frying
Tomato-1 1/2
Sambar powder-1tsp(or more as per taste)
Turmeric
Salt as per taste
To Grind
Cocunut-1/4 cup
Green chilli-1
Fennel-1/2 tsp
Roasted Gram dal-1 tsp(pottukadalai)
To Temper:
Cinnamon-1"
Cloves-3
Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Chop Onion ,Tomato finelly and grind the cocunut,potukadalai,fennel,greenchilli into fine paste.
- In a pan add oil and add cloves,cinnamon and fry for 10 secs.
- Now add the onion ,once the onion is transulent add tomato and bit of salt.Fry until mushy and all water from tomato evaporates.
- Now add the turmeric and sambar pwdr fry for 2 more mins.Then add the ground paste,enough water and adjust the salt.
- Let it boil for 5 mins,then garnish with coriander and switch off.
Notes:
- Dont skip fennel and green chilli.
- This goes yum with Dosa and uthapam
