Kaju Katli / Cashew Burfi

Kaju Katli Method-2

Preparation Time:45mins | Serves: 40 piece

Ingredients


Cashew-250 gm

Milk powder--40gm

Sugar-200gm

Water-100ml

Dried Rose Petal-1 Tbsp

Method:

  1. Make sure cashew is fresh and crisp.Take small at a time and pulse in mixer grinder 
  2. Sieve the cashew powder and remove all the lumb.
  3. Mix Milk powder and cashew powder together.
  4. In iron pan or non stick  pan add water ,sugar and allow to boil.
  5. When you see big bubbles do sugar test in cold water,the sugar syrup should not dissolve in water.
  6. At this Stage switch off cashew  and milk powder mixture .
  7. Mix well and spread the mixture around the pan and allow it to cool a bit.
  8. when its firm enough transfer it to a plastic or silicone sheet and knead into a soft and smooth dough
  9. Now roll it thick sheet and allow it to firm and cut into desired shapes. 

Notes:

  • Broken cashews will be perfect for this
  • don't allow sugar syrup to boil so much
