Masala pori | Kara Pori |Spicy Puffed Rice

Masala pori is my Hubby's fav as its a low calorie snack,every friday i have to make this for him else ,he will be asking me wanna munch something.So now a days i  become expert in making masala pori.Here is the recipe from Dhivis Pantry-Masala pori.

Masala pori | Kara Pori |Spicy Puffed Rice

Preparation Time:15 mins | Serves: 3-4

Ingredients


Pori/Puffed Rice- 3 or 4 Cups

Garlic-4(big)Crushed

Red chilli-2

Curry leaves-few

Peanut/Roasted Gram dal-1/2 Cup

Cumin/Zeera-1/2 tbsp

Turmeric-1/2 tsp

Salt as required

Oil-1 tbsp

Method:

    2 add
  1. If using peanut roast the peanut seperately.
  2. In a hot pan add oil then cumin once brown add redchilli fry fr 5 secs .
  3. Now add garlic and once it starts brown add curry leaves .
  4. 2 add
  5. Then add peanut/Gram dal and fry for 1 min and add turmeric and a pinch salt(not much salt as pori itself has some salt in it) .
  6. Now add pori and mix well for 1 min and switch off.

Notes:

  • I used both peanut and gramdal here.
  • mixing pori in flame makes the pori more crisp.
  • garlic and curry leaves are the imp ingredient here.
