"Chow chow bath" is a famous break fast in karnataka.Its a combination of rava khichadi/upma(karabath) & kesari(kesaribath).I havn't tasted chow chow bath before,but my hubbys fav brfst when he was in bglr .Few month's back we bought pine apple and we discussing wat sweet to prepare, and he said abt chow chow bath he had once with kichadi and pineapple kesari.Then i tryed this kesari ,which came very well like the one served in functions lik mariage.Even when i had the left over kesari in evening it was very soft.I liked this very much than the usual kesari ,so when ever i see fresh pineapple ,i do this kesari fr weekend breakfast. I wanted to you all to try this for sure....

Ingredients
Rava/Semolina-1/2 cup
Sugar-1/2 cup
Pineapple-1/2(finelly chopped)
Ghee-4 to 5 tbsp
Milk-1/2 cup
water-1/2 cup
cashew-6
Dry grapes-few
Yellow food color(op)
Elachi-2

Method:
- Heat the milk and water together and keep aside.
- In a pan add the ghee ,once hot add the rava and fry till light golden yellow.(see picture ,the rava will be almost boiling in ghee)
- Now add the hot milk+water to the rava ,mix well till the rava is cooked.
- Now add in the sugar and cook till it absorbs.
- Its time to add the chopped pineapple and cook till pineapple is cooked and the kesari becomes non sticky.
- Add the yellow color,elachi and mix well.
- In a seperate pan add ghee and fry the cashew,grapes and temper it
Notes:
- I used fully ripped pine apple.
- We like the chunky pineapple in kesari ,if you want blend the pine apple or grate it.
- You can also skip water and add oly milk.
- I like pineapple flavour very much ,so i skipped elachi pwdr.
