  Fish is my favourite among non veggies.When i came to singapore i usually buy salmon and bored of its strong and oily flavour.When i want to try authentic south indian fish fry ,i got to know while browsing that pomfret goes well with south indian recipes.And here is the easy fish fry recipe..   


Pomfret Fish fry

Ingredients


Pomfret fish-1(i used black one)

Chilli pwdr-1 tbsp

Lemon juice/vinegar-1 tbsp

Black pepper -1/2 tsp

Ginger & Garlic pste-1 tbsp

Turmeric-1/4 tsp

Salt as per taste

Oil -6 to 7 tbsp

Method:

  1. Clean the fish and cut into thin slices ,wash it with turmeric and salt.
  2. In a bowl add all the ingredients except fish and mix well.
  3. Now remove excess water from fish and apply this paste on both the side .
  4. 2 add
  5. Lets marinate the fish for atleast 1 hour .
  6. In a pan add oil and let it get hot in medium high flame ,then add fish and fry for 4 to 5 mins each side.
  7. Remove from the pan and serve hot.

Notes:

    • For best taste marinate the fish over night in fridge.
    • Serve hot with lemon wedges.
    • Make sure the oil is hot enough ,else the fish masala will dissolve in oil and fish slice will be broken.
