                                  Mixed Vegetable Wheat Base Pizza 

I know many pizza lovers there like me hesitate to take becoz of the high calorie content in the maida pizza base,but making the pizza base with wheat flour is more healthy than maida base.I know now you are thinking abt the cheese part,ya pizza wont taste good without cheeeese ,lets try to reduce or go for low fat cheese if possible.....Here is the Recipe ... Mixed Vegetable Wheat Base Pizza

Ingredients For Pizza Dough


Wheat flour- 1 1/2 cup

Yeast - 1 tbsp

Sugar-1/2 tbsp

Milk-1/4 cup

Water-1/4 cup + more

Oil- 1/8 cup

Salt-3/4 tsp

For Pizza Topping


Pizza sauce- 2 tbsp

Olive oil- 1 tbsp

Mixed veg - 1/2 cup

Onion & Tomato - few slices

Mozzarella Cheese- as needed

Masala Pwdr - 1 tsp (op)

Method:

Take a warm milk +water ,add in the sugar and mix well till the sugar dissolves.Now add in the yeast and mix well till dissolved.Now keep this yeast mixture in a dark place for 10 mins .This method is called proofing the yeast.If your yeast mixture is not frothy | risen then discard it and use a new one.Make sure to refridgerate the yeast once opened (new one).

  3. Now add the oil and salt to the yeast mixture and give a quick mix.

  5. In a wide bowl take the flour ,now add in the yeast mixture and make a smooth dough add few more tbsp of water if needed.Knead well to make a soft dough.

  7. Now grease the bowl with oil and allow the dough to sit inside for 1 hour or more til the dough is double in its size.
  8. 2 add
  9. Preheat the oven now at 210 degree celcius. .
  10. Now take the dough gently,dont remove all the air.Roll it into thick or thin base and prick the base so it will get cooked evenly.
  11. Apply olive oil to the base followed by spreading the pizza sauce(i have sprinkled some masala powder after applying oil to give indian taste).

  13. Sprinkle some cheese and topp it with mix vegetables of your choice.

  15. Add more cheese now and bake it for about 15 mins or till the outside edges become brown.
  16. Yummy pizza is out from the oven.. Hot ! Hot!.

Notes:

  • You can use oly maida or wheat or combination of both.Here as we use oly wheat flour you need to knead more to get soft base else it will become crusty.
  • You can use any masala pwdr lik chicken masal,chilli chicken pwdr,tandoori,or simple garam masala,etc...
  • If you dont have pizza sauce use pasta sause instead or simple tomato ketchup + minced garlic + mixed herbs + chilli flakes or pwdr + olive oil works well.
  • Topping vegetables can be capsicum or Jalapeno of any colours,paneer,onion,mushroom,tomato,baby corn,olives,brocolli,sausage,mint leaves,eggplant,spinach,pineapple,chicken,prawns etc.
  • The inside cheese can be any cheese, but for the top most layer add mozzerella else you wont get the white cheesy consistency.
  • Try the same with simple bread toast .MY all time favourite is bread toast + pizza sauce + capsicum + cheese.
